Principal's Message

Rancho Welcome

Welcome AUSD Students and Families,

Dr. John Tung

I am extremely proud and humbled to serve as Principal of Rancho Learning Center (Rancho). Arcadia Unified School District (AUSD) has a reputation for academic excellence and a genuine care for students. Rancho furthers that reputation by serving students and families with more personalized, unique educational programming options for students in grades TK-12. Rancho has continued to provide our students with innovative opportunities to meet their academic and social-emotional growth. Our students, families, and staff remained resilient during the worldwide pandemic and emerged with greater empathy and understanding of how best to achieve our goals of educating every student with programs and practices that meet their needs.

Rancho remains committed to AUSD’s tagline, “Imagine, Inspire, and Inquire.” We have learned many things this past year, and we have seen what we can accomplish when we imagine and create alternative educational strategies to serve our students. We were inspired by the dedication of our students and families to their education. And we will continue to inquire about ways to improve our practices and offerings.

We know that much work needs to be done to reopen our schools in the fall as we welcome back our students. I am confident that together we will welcome our Wolverines back to campus or provide an online alternative and celebrate our perseverance through this worldwide emergency.  Although 2020-2021 will always be remembered for the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on our lives and our students' education, the important skills and lessons we learned as educators will last for years to come.

I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy as we prepare to embark on another school year of endless and exciting possibilities.
